Seems like it's all about the new paints

Or at least that's what I want to think! Changes to the rules (knowing GW as we know) are always going to be to something worse than what we have now.

There's some talk in Dakka Dakka about the new paints. Apparently we know the list of paints and their names, and also, they are going to be divided in categories, which will be Bases, Layer, Shades, Dry, Glaze, Texture and Technical. Mysterious rumours about rule changes in Golden Demon?

I have been hearing lately some rumours and whispers of a nameless fear...

It's all related to this White Dwarf article, found on this month's spanish edition:

Obviously it's in spanish. For those who can't read my mother tongue, this is a translation of the important part:

If you are going to participate in some Golden Demon this year, don't forget to download the NEW RULES from our website.

Ok then, that's not a problem, we always check out the rules every year, and sometimes there are some minor changes. But... why the capital letters? Why is it SO important to check them out this year?

Then came some comment on Facebook of a famous Golden Demon winner whose name I'm not going to say to make it more misterious (yeah, I love mistery). This is what he said:

Back From The GW HQ (24h Leasure Trip)! Some Mayor Changes Are Coming... Brace Yourself... 24th of March... Can´t Tell Anything (NDA´s Are Cereal Business...), But I Guess That Everyone Will Be Talking Much About This Very Soon...... Now Off To Sleep... Hoot Hoot!

And it's true there is something big coming from the leisure factory, they have picked that date for some kind of important presentation (click to enlarge):

Ok... what is really going on? It doesn't seem like a product presentation as there are "Some Major Changes Coming". What should be expect?? I don't know about you but I can't wait to find out...

If you are a girl and you like painting minis... today could be your lucky day!

8th of March is the day of the working woman. Congratulations to everyone who has fought for equality and justice for women all over the world!

Today is a day for celebration, and in the miniature painting world we should celebrate it too. Painting miniatures is a hobby in which we find a lot of men, but women are very rare and appreciated, and we want to see more girls painting! Our hobby is very fun and creative and we have to encourage girls to like it too!

So for this reason, if you are a girl who likes or would like to paint minis, or you know a girl who could be interested, this could be your lucky day! I am going to give away the last spot in the painting course I am giving next week in Madrid, to one of the girls who wants to paint and tells me so. From all the emails or comments I receive starting today until Sunday night 22.00 CET (Madrid local time) I will choose one lucky name at random. This girl will be able to come to my painting course which is going to be celebrated in Madrid on the days 18 and 19 of March for free!

Information about the course

So if you want your girlfriend to paint, or your sister, your mom, or you have a girl friend who likes minis and she wants to paint, or she already does paint and she wants to improve, this is your opportunity! Remember, only girls can participate in this contest, no men allowed! Good luck to you all!

About moods and motivation

What a great moment this is. You finally get to have some free time to invest in one of your favourite activities. No one to bother you, all of your stuff in front of you, everything set... but no. You just can't do it, there is something which gets in between you and the paintbrush. You're sad about something, or maybe you're worried about some problem. There's something on your mind that's bothering you much more than the lack of time you normally have. But it is now when you have time! However, being alone painting seems like the worst of ideas. Just you, your paints, and your sad thoughts to linger on a bit more.

I find it absolutely impossible to paint/model when this happens. I have to get away from home, maybe hang out with some friends, or just wet the pains in alcohol (not the best of options, but who am I kidding, it helps). And then, after all your pains are gone and you want to paint as usual, you find yourself stuck again in the crazy neverending routine of normal life, with absolutely no time for your painting. So frustrating...

There's so many things I could do with this time... but I just can't!!

Maybe you guys have some magic formula for these times. What to do when this happens?
